The DJ
behind the dancefloor.
Twenty years of music. Three countries. One obsession
Making sure you never forget how it felt.

Ray Boyer
Before he touched a turntable, Ray grew up inside music.
His father played organ for the capital's cathedral in Haiti. He organized concerts. He taught his four children to play young, scales, theory, timing, feel.
Ray's earliest memory is standing on that stage as a kid. He already understood something most people take decades to learn. Music doesn't entertain a room. It holds people together.
The Journey

By high school, Ray was DJing in Haiti. School events, house parties, clubs.
After college he moved to New York. Joined two wedding companies. Kept learning. His cousin, also a DJ, opened a door Ray hadn't seen coming, R&B, Hip-Hop, EDM, Reggaeton. A universe beyond the Caribbean foundation he grew up in.
Then Austin. Afrobeats. Amapiano. Country. A deeper Latin catalog. Every city taught him something the last one couldn't.
At some point he stopped counting genres. Music was one language with infinite dialects. He happened to speak it fluently, in English, French, and Haitian Creole.
The Decision

Clubs were a ceiling with no upside. Long nights, low margins, nothing that lasted.
Weddings were harder. That was the point.
Ray wanted to build something couples would still talk about fifty years later. A memory their grandchildren would hear about. Weddings were the only place he could create that.
The Difference

Most DJs show up with a playlist. Ray shows up with a system.
He combined a lifelong love of music with a trained eye for design and user experience. The result is an experience built around you, from the first inquiry to the last song of the night. Every detail mapped. Every moment considered.
For multicultural couples, the bilingual side goes beyond music selection. Ray communicates in the cultural register that makes each family feel seen. That comes from growing up inside multiple worlds. You cannot learn it from a playlist.
The Standard

Ray leads Krystal Collective, Austin's premium wedding entertainment company.
He has shared stages with international artists including Machel Montano and J-Perry, performed at SXSW, and been part of some of Austin's largest cultural events.
None of that is why couples book him.
They book him because he has already thought about their wedding more carefully than most vendors ever will. The grandmother who does not speak English. The uncle who only dances to one thing. The exact second the couple walks in and what the room needs to feel like.
He has thought about all of it. And he has a plan.

What Planners are saying.
Wonderful experience as a wedding planner working with Ray and his team. They were professional, communicative, and really set the mood for a great party!!
Ray was so great to work with! We had some last minute changes to the timeline due to weather and having a confident DJ that can pivot quickly when needed is paramount...
I met Ray at an open house am so glad we connected at the tail end of the event. When I sought out a DJ for a corporate event I was planning, Krystal management immediately came to mind. And they did not disappoint!
Your wedding deserves a DJ who's already thought about everything.
